About La Rosiere Ski Resort
La Rosiere ski resort is most famous for being a perfect family ski resort and indeed having been awarded the prestigious Famille Plus Montagne accolade, it certainly lives up to that reputation. A superb range of wide and open green and blue slopes just above the resort centre, and the newer annexe of Les Eucherts, make it the perfect learning ground for beginners. Almost every chalet operator offers some kind of crèche or nanny service to look after the little ones while you enjoy a day’s skiing in some beautiful terrain. La Rosiere has something for everyone whatever your level of skiing or boarding, and you can even try your hand at heliskiing over on the Italian side of the border!
La Rosiere in France and La Thuile in Italy combine to form the Espace San Bernardo, offering over 150km of pistes with a good variation of tree runs and open bowls, and not to mention some superb off-piste terrain where the ESF actually train many of their instructors from neighbouring resorts. The link between the two countries is a drag lift, but in spite of this, most of the lifts are chairs and with few flats, even snowboarders will be happy here!
Although not known as a party resort, La Rosiere still has a few bars that are perfect for a bit of après-ski and stay open until the early hours. For those wanting a more relaxed evening, there are some lovely restaurants, many serving traditional Savoyard specialities...perfect for enjoying on the chalet host’s night off!
