About La Rosiere Ski Resort

The village of La Rosiere rests on a high sunny plateau at 1850 metres, making it one of the highest villages in the Alps. There are glorious views across the valley towards Les Arcs and La Plagne. La Rosiere is one of the best resorts for families, due in principal to the excellent range of beginner and intermediate slopes, along with the quality of childcare on offer. The warm and friendly atmosphere makes it the ideal place for families and groups of friends alike to enjoy a relaxed ski holiday.

Activites in La Rosiere

There are plenty of activities away from the slopes to keep everyone busy. An 11km network of paths around the resort and through the forest are perfect for exploring La Rosiere on foot. There is plenty of territory for sledging on and for the more adventurous you can try your hand at heliskiing over the Italian border, parapenting and snow kiting! There is also a bowling alley, ice rink and cinema in the resort.

Apres ski in La Rosiere

La Rosiere is not renowned for its après-ski scene and generally is one of the quieter resorts in the Alps. However all is not lost if you do want a drink or two at the end of the day! Head to the Moo Bar at the bottom of the slopes for live music and a happy hour DJ, Le Petit Danois or Fusion as these are the main bars in the town centre. They also stay open until about 1am and are popular with locals and holiday makers alike!

McKinley is a bar /restaurant just by the nursery slopes that is a great place for a spot of lunch, a more relaxed drink or an evening meal. There are many other good restaurants, most serving some kind of regional speciality. Le Genepi is our recommendation!
